The Dundee Science Centre is thrilled to invite school children from across Dundee to enter our school competition as part of Dundee Science Festival 2026 – for a chance to win our Lord Provost STEM Inspiration Award!
Working individually, we are asking primary school students to create a poster on “What will artificial intelligence (AI) look like in 25 years?” – finalist entries being showcased at the Dundee Science Festival. Please find further information in the attached PDF.
Entries must be submitted by Thursday 29th January, with entries being displayed at the Dundee Science Centre from 2nd – 22nd February.
The winner will receive their award from the Lord Provost of Dundee himself on Friday 20th February, at the Dundee Science Centre. Please ensure that you are available to visit the centre this day, as the winning entries class will be invited for a visit and prize giving ceremony on that day. The visit will also include time exploring our exhibits and Festival exhibitors, alongside an educational hands-on workshop all about the water cycle – in which students will make a mini water cycle and investigate the processes involved in having clean, safe water in our taps.
Admission and transport costs will be fully funded, kindly sponsored by Scottish Water.
You will find an A4 poster template for the competition attached – please use this to complete your entries, and if possible print this double-sided (or make sure that you include the pupil’s names and year group on the back). If you cannot print this template off, do let us know and we can arrange to print this for you and send it to your school.
Entries can be submitted by post, email (photographs/scans sent to learning@dundeesciencecentre.org.uk), or in-person – simply drop them off at our reception.
