From Video Games to Climate Science: STEM Expo Opens Doors to Future Careers

 Back News - - 1 minute read.
Primary and secondary school pupils from across Dundee & Angus were invited to attend STEM Expo here at Dundee Science Centre on Tuesday, 3rd and Wednesday, 4th February.

Over the two days, we welcomed over 400 students (from P1-S2) who participated in a range of interactive STEM activities designed to build their confidence and awareness of future careers in STEM.

The Dundee and Angus Regional STEM Partnership aims to create a regional STEM pathway, providing primary, secondary, further education, higher education, and industry opportunities to develop the knowledge, understanding and skills for STEM careers.

We had many brilliant exhibitors take part in STEM Expo this year, all representing different aspects of STEM, from the benefits of video games on human health to understanding how we protect historic environments from climate change.

The wide variety of exhibits worked to demonstrate to pupils the multifaceted nature of STEM careers, to inspire and encourage pupils down STEM career pathways.

Jak Derrick-Ross, Business Development Lead at Dundee Science Centre, said: “It was fantastic to host this year’s STEM Expo at Dundee Science Centre, and there was a real buzz of excitement in the Centre.”

“Seeing the large number of students from throughout Dundee & Angus interacting with exhibitors really demonstrates the importance of partnership working, connecting organisations from across the region who all share the same goal of increasing STEM engagement and career pathways”.

A big thank you to all the exhibitors who took part in STEM Expo 2026.
