Learning Lab 2025/2026 academic yearSPACES STILL AVAILABLE

Learning Lab is a FREE science education programme for P5–P7 and S1–S2 students in Dundee, Angus, Fife, and Perth & Kinross. Aligned with CfE experiences and outcomes, Learning Lab supports teachers to deliver amazing science in the classroom!
Through exciting practical activities, pupils will discover renewable technologies and see that they have the skills needed for a future in the energy industry. Protect a melting ice cube, run a hydrogen relay race, and meet an expert from the energy industry!

With a suggested teaching time of 2 hours per week, this 8-week programme for P5–P7 or 4-week programme for S1-S2 comprises:

  • Lesson plans, worksheets, and original video content.
  • Live scientist interactions
  • Professional learning sessions
  • Family learning activities
  • A  FREE VISIT  to Dundee Science Centre

Programme Dates: 

 Spring Term

  • 7 Jan – 2 Apr 2026 
  • CLPL – Wednesday 7th January 2026 
  • Meet the Expert session – 9th or 10th March (TBC)

Summer Term

  • 20 Apr – 3 Jul 2026
  • CLPL – Monday 20th April
  • Meet the Expert session – TBC

  • Cost: FULLY FUNDED, schools can also apply for transport funding to assist with any associated travel costs to Dundee Science Centre
