Learning Lab: Powering the Future is a FREE science education programme for P5–P7 and S1–S2 students in Dundee, Angus, Fife, and Perth & Kinross. Aligned with CfE experiences and outcomes, Learning Lab supports teachers to deliver amazing science in the classroom! Delivered in in partnership with Glasgow Science Centre and My Energy Future.

Through exciting practical activities, pupils will discover renewable technologies and see that they have the skills needed for a future in the energy industry. Protect a melting ice cube, run a hydrogen relay race, and meet an expert from the energy industry!

With a suggested teaching time of 2 hours per week, this 8-week programme for P5–P7 or 4-week programme for S1-S2 is delivered by you – the class teacher. The programme comprises:

Lesson plans, worksheets, and original video content.
Live scientist interactions
Professional learning sessions
Family learning activities
A  FREE VISIT  to Dundee Science Centre
