Dundee Science Festival returns in February 2027!
Join us for a fun-packed month of events, activities and scientific demonstrations during Dundee Science Festival 2027.
Dundee Science Festival is an exciting, city-wide festival that offers a vibrant programme of events to inspire people of all ages. The festival will run at Dundee Science Centre and partner venues over the month of February.
Our festival offers a blended approach to bringing fun and STEM engagement to the region. Whether it’s in-centre activities, community events, or digital resources, there is way to get involved for all organisations.

2027 Event Information
In-Centre – General public visits
- Saturday 6th February to Sunday 21st February 2027
- Capacity for 500 visitors per day
- Running over both Scottish mid-term break and English half-term break
- 10am-4pm
In-Centre – School visits
- Monday 1st February to Friday 5th February 2027
- Spillover dates – Monday 8th, Tuesday 9th, Wednesday 17th, Thursday 18th, Friday 19th February 2027
- Capacity for up to 240 students per day
- 9:30am-2:30pm
Community
We also welcome organisations that are looking to hold an event in the community, a local venue, or your own premises – with events being held in February 2027 eligible for inclusion festival programme.
Digital
We can also include online resources, activities, workshops, or talks as part of the festival, and if there are any other digital assets you want to highlight (for the general public or for an education audience) these can be added to the online programme.
Exhibitor Logistics
For In-Centre engagement, we offer the following as standard for all exhibitors;
- Standard table (180 cm x 75 cm)
- Poster Board (180 cm x 180 cm)
We can also provide if required and available;
- Additional space
- Additional table/s
- Power
- Multiple power sockets
- TV/screen (limited availability)
Exhibitors will be situated on our exhibition floor, integrated within the exhibits. This offers a seamless engagement experience for visitors, perfectly merged with existing themes, zones, and activities. Will we look to locate exhibitors within relevant areas/zones in the centre, that fit in with their offer.
We also have larger spaces available on-site for activities that require more floor space;
- Prism – Large open space, perfect for demonstrations that require more space and/or activities that are more hands-on and require additional clean-up
- Inspire – Classroom that can fit up to 50 visitors, and can setup classroom style or lecture style
We’d be more than happy to discuss if anyone has an activity or offer that can’t be facilitated with the standard allocation. We’re also open to holding talks, presentations, and other scheduled activities as part of the festival in-centre.
There is no cost to participate and exhibitors can attend as many as days as they would like – with no minimum or maximum commitment in terms of number of days. We do however require all exhibitors to be present for the entire day of any date they have booked – which helps to maintain a consistent exhibition offering throughout the event, ensures that visitors can engage with offers as advertised, and allows safe setup/pack-down without guests present.
