 Back News - - 1 minute read.
Dundee Science Festival came to a close on Sunday, marking the end of three weeks of inspiring science engagement at Dundee Science Centre.

Dundee Science Festival is an annual celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), rooted in the Science Centre’s mission to make science accessible to all. The festival brings together schools, families, and organisations to explore STEM through hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and real-world applications.

Throughout the festival, the Science Centre welcomed school pupils, who visited as part of organised school trips. Pupils took part in interactive sessions designed to bring STEM to life beyond the classroom, helping to break down barriers and introduce young people to future STEM pathways in an engaging and memorable way.

During the public programme, the centre also welcomed visitors, with families and individuals travelling from across Dundee and beyond to take part. The festival provided opportunities for visitors of all ages to explore science together, reinforcing STEM’s role as an important and accessible part of everyday life.

The event was supported by 35 exhibiting organisations, who delivered activities and shared their expertise with visitors. Their involvement played a key role in creating a varied and engaging programme, highlighting the breadth of STEM innovation and careers. The Festival would not be possible without their support and partnership

Dundee Science Festival continues to be a key part of the Science Centre’s annual programme, supporting science engagement across the region and inspiring future generations.

We look forward to doing it again next year!
