General information about the Dundee Science Centre.
Do you host children’s birthday parties?
At present we are unable to offer Birthday Parties, we are operating at a reduced capacity in the Centre in line with current restrictions to keep everyone as safe as possible.
How long does it take to go around the centre?
We recommend you spend between 2-3 hours in the centre, giving plenty time to explore around our exhibition floors and catching our daily shows.
Is there car parking?
Yes, we have 1 car park to the front of the centre as well as 1 behind. Greenmarket multi-storey car park is also situated across from the centre.
All car parks are run by Dundee City Council and have a parking charge. To find out more information about parking charges, you can visit the council web site.
What are your opening times?

What catering facilities do you have?
Our coffee shop, Cafe Create is situated on the ground floor, towards the back of the centre.
Lunches and light snacks, plus hot and cold drinks are available.
What ID is required for student tickets?

Do you have facilities for wheelchair users and babies?
Our disabled toilet and baby changing facilities are located at the rear of the centre, next to Cafe Create. Both facilities have toilets within, both of which are gender-neutral and suitable for all.
As part of our centre's CONNECT redevelopment, we will have a Changing Places toilet to offer an accessible facility for our visitors who may require more room, changing space, and specialised equipment.
Do you have wheelchairs for hire?
We have a wheelchair within the centre that visitors can use throughout their visit, with no charge. You can call up before your visit to speak to a member of staff who can arrange this before you arrive.
Do you offer carer tickets?
Carers of disabled visitors are admitted free of charge (one carer per disabled visitor, including when the disabled visitor is 4 or under); a reduced admission fee applies to the disabled visitor.
Please bring along a carer’s badge or a form of ID to help us process your admission on arrival.
What to expect when planning to visit with a group.
Do we need to book in advance?
Yes, all groups are required to book in advance to qualify for group rates and to ensure we have the facilities available to accommodate your visit.
