0-5 & Early Years
Dundee Science Centre is committed to be a community resource for lifelong learning. We continue to evaluate and build on our existing programmes that support learning from birth to adulthood, and a continued focus for development this year is our programme for early years.
We are investing in research, training and resources that will enable us to continue development of our improved offering, building on from 2016. This offering will build on the success of our previous Early Explorers programme, and will be designed and trialled in close consultation with parents, carers and educationalists, to ensure it supports learning in a specifically tailored and sustainable way to gain maximum positive impact for our youngest learners and their families.
Our monthly Early Explorers programme will not be available in 2017; however, we will be offering a range of additional activities for 3 to 5 year olds across the year, including tailored activities as part of our headlining exhibitions. Further information on the opportunities available is included on our website's What's On page.
If you are interested in supporting us in the development of our public programme for early years - whether that be in the initial research stage or in the trialling of activities - please contact us on 01382 868606 or . We’d love to hear from you.
For nursery groups and schools, we continue to have a selection of pre-bookable 20-30 minute workshops available for children in early years or at early level. These workshops can be delivered in Dundee Science Centre or on outreach, and are often supported by professional learning for practitioners to help you make the most of the learning in your own setting.
