About FIfe Science Festival
Fife Science Festival was built on the success of a science family fun day led by Fife Cultural Trust in 2009 and Fife Science Festival was established and led by Dundee Science Centre in 2011.
The Festival provides a diverse programme of events across Fife, engaging school and community audiences in local and cutting-edge science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). Events range from family fun days, community workshops and ‘science in the shopping centre’ drop-in events, to ‘meet-the-scientist’ opportunities, teacher training and career-inspiring activity days.
We also support public engagement and learning in STEM, working in collaboration with a number of different organisations and individuals who are passionate and excited about sharing the research, creativity and innovation to members of the public.
After taking a year out of running the festival for 2015 to review the format, we proudly delivered a festival that was better suited to the region in 2016.
The 2017 Festival will build on the success of last year's festival and public events will take place in Cowdenbeath between 27 – 28 May and Glenrothes between 3 – 4 June.
