Dundee Science Festival
Launched in 2010, Dundee Science Festival has grown to be one of the largest events in Tayside. Taking place every November, the Festival aims to engage and inspire the whole community through its celebration of science and lifelong learning across the city of Dundee - attracting people from all ages and backgrounds.
Dundee Science Festival 2015!
from Saturday 29 October - Sunday 13 November
to take part in 2016
Events show the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) that help make sense of the world around us, and demonstrate how science shapes our history and culture and is integral to our future. Activities are created for the community by people who are passionate and excited about sharing their research, creativity and innovation.
In its fifth year the festival was bigger than ever before - placing a big focus on providing fun, inspirational events for the local community in Dundee. This year we also hosted school events, which can be seen here!
Dundee Science Festival 2015 took place during 31st Oct and 15th November, with a key objective to increase science in the community and to widen access to science. We at Dundee Science Centre deliver Dundee Science Festival with the belief that everyone, regardless of age and background, should be able to experience and enjoy science. Community engagement is always at the heart of our festival and we aim to place a large focus on engagement with hard to reach audiences in areas of deprivation in Dundee. Our community events are designed to bring new topics to those who may not have a previous connection with the festival or with science in general.
Dundee Science Festival 2015 was proudly funded and supported by the following organisations.
